🕵️‍♂️ Frankie Sinatro, P.I. Episode 7 — "The Case of the Missing Whisker"

Updated: Jan 4

In the Smart household, there is a special jar that sits right by the front door — a jar filled with whiskers that Mr. Smart discovers while vacuuming and Mrs. Smart saves with love. Some say whiskers placed by the door keep the home safe from wandering spirits and unknown visitors.

But Frankie Sinatro, P.I. has his own take on things.

He claims the jar is his evidence vault. He claims every whisker inside holds a clue. He claims that he alone is the guardian of the Smart residence.

So, when Mrs. Smart notices the jar looking suspiciously… empty, Frankie springs into action.

Was it an intruder? Was it Deano collecting them for “scientific research"? Did Samy sit on it again? Or did a mysterious wind spirit steal the whiskers for its own magic?

Frankie checks the laundry room, the vacuum bin, the windowsills, even the sacred midnight-snack zone. He interrogates Oreo. He stares dramatically into space. He takes notes no one can read.

And then — finally — a clue:

A trail of whiskers leading toward the door…but stopping just before the jar.

Someone — or something — has been moving the whiskers on purpose.

In the end, Frankie uncovers the truth:

It was himself. Sleepwalking. Or “sleep-detecting,” as he insists on calling it.

Each night, Frankie had been relocating the whiskers around the house to “test the perimeter,” ensuring the Smart household was protected from unknown beings — just like the old belief said.

He wasn’t stealing…He was safeguarding.

And so, the episode concludes with Frankie proudly perched beside the whisker jar, chest puffed out:

“You’re safe, partner,” he says. "Detective Frankie is always on duty.”

And from that day forward, the jar stayed right where it belonged — by the door — filled with whiskers, magic, and Frankie’s constant dedication to keeping the Smart family safe.
